BEAD-BLASTED OVERHEAD CONDUCTORS FOR NOISE REDUCTION
SWITCH TO SILENT MODE
Increased marginal field intensity, generally in wet weather conditions, sometimes leads to disruptive noise emissions at high and/or low frequencies. The "Anti-Corona" bead-blasted conductor from LUMPI-BERNDORF is the first choice for reducing these effects.
HYDROPHILIC SURFACE
As a measure to effectively combat corona discharges in high-voltage overhead lines, LUMPI-BERNDORF has developed a process that is gentle on the material and gives a hydrophilic surface. Noise development can only be reduced to a minimum by increasing hydrophilicity.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
As there are fewer water droplets on the hydrophilic surface, the frequency of corona discharges is significantly reduced and the resulting noise level is reduced to a minimum. Another positive aspect is that the transmission losses in overhead lines are reduced, contributing to more cost-effective energy transport.
VERSIONS
All standard conductors, thermal resistant conductors and fibre optic earthwires/conductors can be designed as "anti-corona bead-blasted conductors".
